Leocadie Company is a dance company based in Zurich, Switzerland, founded by choreographer Léa Schneider.
Rooted in contemporary dance and enriched by influences from street and club styles as well as theatre, the company’s creations emerge through personal reflection and encounters between performers. Each body, identity, and lived experience infuses the movement with authenticity, converging into a shared and distinctive choreographic language.
Through its works, the company explores and questions contemporary social issues, the quest for self, as well as the place of women in our modern narratives.
"Daring to be vulnerable creates a space where more authentic connections can emerge."
"For a long time, I believed that showing vulnerability was a sign of weakness—something to hide. But by constantly trying to resist and please others at all costs, I realized I was cutting myself off from an essential part of my humanity."
This creation is a contemporary dance piece, it explores the transition from rigidity—the social armor we build—towards a sincere fluidity. It is an invitation to dive into the mental and physical space where we finally drop our masks to embrace vulnerability as a true strength of authenticity and connection.
The piece is performed by four dancers whose movements translate the journey from social rigidity to a rediscovered emotional freedom.
